Where this rate comes from

Our sum of Moreno Valley Utility's Schedule A Rate A, effective January 1, 2026: energy charge by tier plus public purpose programs ($0.02145) and the state surcharge ($0.0003). That is $0.28405 for baseline use and $0.36456 above it, the same in summer and winter. We use the above-baseline price. The 5.75% utility users tax is excluded. MVU serves parts of Moreno Valley; SCE serves the rest.[source]
